The family are saddened to announce the sudden passing of Margaret at her Cambridge residence on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 89 years of age. Beloved wife of Roy. Loving mother of Douglas Smith (Kim), Lisa Smith and Julie Walton (Chris). Cherished grandmother of Kayla, Alicia, Courtney, Eric, Michael, Nick, Leah and great-grandson Connor. Survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Nora Evans and by siblings Felix Evans, Mary Stark, John Evans, Leonard Evans, Kay Bradley, Jim Evans and Ellen Dyer. Margaret’s family will receive relatives and friends at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. A Vigil for Margaret will take place Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Visitation Parish, 16 Cooper Street, Cambridge, on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation with interment at New Hope Cemetery to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Sunnyside Foundation, 247 Franklin St. N., Kitchener, Ontario N2A 1Y5 would be appreciated by the family.
