Rina Rampado (Ceccon)
RAMPADO, Rina (Ceccon) – Peacefully on Thursday February 7, 2019, at Meadows of Dorchester, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Gino Rampado (2009); Loving mother of Mary Ann (Michael) Strachan, Rick (Paula) Rampado and the late Alfred Rampado (2016); Mother-in-law of Pieranna Rampado; Dear nonna of Jason (Ashley), Kristen, Alicia (Shawn), Robert, Daniella (Mike), Amanda (Ryan), Vanessa and Victoria; Great-grandmother of Alessandra; Sister of Carolina (Mario) Cinia, Giorgio (Maria) Ceccon, Angelo (Anna) Ceccon, and the late Mario (Maria) Ceccon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Loreggia, Padua, Italy, Rina immigrated to Canada along with her husband in 1952, and they lived on Stamford Green Drive for 50 years. She was known for her love of making panettone and crostelli, and for crocheting blankets for the people she loved. Rina’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to all the team at Meadows of Dorchester for their love and personal care over her years of residency.
Mrs. Rampado will be at the Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Sunday. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 4673 Victoria Avenue, on Monday morning at 11 o’clock. The Rite of Committal and entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish may make a memorial donation to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
