Bras d’Or
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband and father, David ‘Wayne’ Boutilier, 72, on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his home in Bras d’Or. Born in North Sydney, Wayne was the son of the late Joseph ‘Duke’ and Mary ‘Babe’ (MacDonald) Boutilier.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sharon (Cantwell); his devoted son, Blaise (Rory) Boutilier; his sister, Valerie (John Sobol), and his brothers, Bernie (Lynette) Boutilier and Butch Boutilier. He is also survived by his Cantwell brothers-in-law, Earl (Sylvia), Brent (Joan), Basil (Susie), Andre Joan, Blaise ‘Cricket’ (Laurie); his sisters-in-law, Heather (Terry) Ahle, Paula (David) Jessome, Theresa (Doug) Verge, Simone (Donald) Clark, Linda (Kevin) Reashor, Phyllis Rideout, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Donnie Boutilier; sister, Joanne Sheaves, and parents-in-law, Percey and Florence (Smith) Cantwell.
There will be no visitation by request. A celebration of Wayne’s life will take place at St. Joseph’s Church in Bras d’Or at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 officiated by Fr. Peter McLeod.
