Hatch, Sheila (nee Gavin)
Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Sheila passed away on January 28, 2019 at the Carpenter Hospice, at the age of 76. Beloved wife of Robert for 53 years. Loving mother to Kelly and Dwayne Smith and Kevin and Kristen. Cherished Nana « Banana » to Taylor, Tyler, Tianna Smith and Leah, Megan, Logan Hatch and Hunter Dixon. Survived by her sister Lynda and John Zonneveld, sister-in-law Marg Cheyne and brother-in-law Doug and Bev Hatch as well as her many nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by Krystal Harris. Sheila was a devoted employee of Arctic Traveler Canada Ltd. for 53 years. A special thanks to Dr. J Goffin at the Juravinski Cancer Centre and the nurses and volunteers at the Carpenter Hospice.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Thursday, January 31, 2018 from 5-8pm. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 10:30am. Interment Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Sheila to the Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
