The death of Norman Thomas O’Shea husband of Mary (Black) O’Shea of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and formerly of Newcastle, NB occurred at his residence on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 90.
Born in Boom Road, Norman was the son of the late Burton and Delia (Young) O’Shea.
Norman retired from Petro Canada after 40 years as Plant Manager.
Norman loved winter sports especially snowmobiling and curling and also four wheeling, bowling, fishing, hunting was always enjoyed with his many friends.
Besides his wife Mary, Norman is survived by three daughters: Cynthia O’Shea Snyder RN (James) of Bridgewater, NS, Theresa Mastel (Ben) of Alberta , Joan O’Shea of Moncton, NB; three sons: Brian (Monique) of Saskatoon, SK, Mark of Miramichi, NB, John (Tammy) of Napan, NB; one brother: Mike (Betty) of Boom Road, NB; seven grandchildren: Scott, Sara, Matthew, Andrew, Sheralee, Emily and Bryce; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Doreen O’Shea, Brother-in-law: Vernon Brook and several nieces and nephews.
Norman is predeceased by one sister: Helen Brook; four brothers: Bill, Fred, Gerald and James.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11 AM with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.
Burial will take place in the Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery later in the spring.
In Norman’s memory a donation may be made to Miramichi Senior Citizens Home.
