Obituary of Nickolas Kennedy
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family announce the passing of Nickolas William “Nick” Kennedy of Teeswater. Nick passed peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019, in his 87th year.
Dear father of Brenda Kennedy (Don), Dianne Leiskau (Richard Kavalo), Steve Kennedy (Tammy), Karen Schedewitz (Paul Fischer), John Kennedy (Ann Haley) and Brian Kennedy (Val Brady).
Remembered by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Donelda Millen.
Predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Agatha (née Willie) Kennedy, brothers Jerome Kennedy, Joe Kennedy and Eugene “Tim” Kennedy and sister Gertrude Beninger.
Nick’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his children, whom he would visit everyday. He was an avid hunter, loved to talk and socialize and was a legend for his “rubberlegging”. Everyone has a story to tell about Nick, he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of Nick’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 180, Wingham (183 Victoria Street West) on Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with memories and stories shared at noon.
Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
