Obituary of Marjorie Marquis
Peacefully, on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Victoria Manor in Lindsay, at age 90. Marjorie (nee Newell), beloved wife of the late Keith Marquis of Sunderland. Loving mother of Carol and her husband Peter Duncan, David Marquis and his wife Debra, and Robert Marquis and his wife Lorene all of Sunderland, and Donna Marquis and her partner Bob of Oshawa. Loved grandmother of Jeff, Michelle, Jay, Meghan, Corey, Krista, Keith, Evan, and Isaac and great grandmother of Gavin, Clayton, Ethan, Blake, Ava, Thomas, Hugo, Xaviera, Hayden, Aidan, Lexi, Sarah, Emily, and Ashleigh and great great grandmother of Ryleigh and Austin. Survived by her dear sister June, and predeceased by her brothers Clifford, Floyd, and Don.
A gathering to celebrate Marjorie’s life will be held in the lower level of St. Andrew’s United Church, 10 Church Street in Sunderland on Sunday, January 27, 2019 from 2 – 4 p.m. Private interment Sunderland Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer’s Society of Durham Region through the Thorne Funeral Home, 109 Laidlaw Street South in Cannington (705-432-2672).
