Obituary of Margaret Stevens
Margaret Grace Stevens, 93 of Aylesford passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born on November 27, 1925 in North River, she was the daughter of the late Rufus and Flora Robar of North River.
Margaret worked as a PCW at Grand View Manor for several years. She enjoyed many craft activities such as crocheting, ceramics, painting, scrapbooking and was always up for a good game of Yahtzee or building a puzzle.
Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters Jean (Alfred) Messon, Kingston; Doris Hiscoe, Bridgetown; Judy Stevens, Aylesford; Sharon Benjamin, Kingston; sons Fred, Aylesford; Earl, Wilmot; Bernard “Bud”, Auburn; Michael, Greenwood; Vernon, Greenwood; Lawrence (Wanda), Wilmot; Wayne, Aylesford; Donnie, Wilmot; sisters Juanita Sarty, Bridgewater; Carolyn (Archie) Levy, Ontario; Helen (Larry) Woodsworth, New Minas; Beulah (Eddie) Jollimore, Liverpool; brothers Mervin (Muriel) Robar, Hebbs Cross; James (Gail) Robar, Springfield; Allister Robar, North River; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Ray; daughter Blanche Victoria; granddaughter Julie Benjamin; grandson Brad Histoe; great-granddaughter Aylissa Mae Foley; sister Vera; brothers Murray and Richard.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Berwick Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Funeral Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick, NS, B0P 1E0 (902-538-9900).
