Leo’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that the families of Leo Thomas Hynes announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt, NL, on Friday, January 25th, 2019 at the age of 86 years.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children; George (Shirley), Dan (Norma), Michael, Lillian (Bill), Dean (Tara), Vincent (Maureen), and Shelley (Quinton), his grandchildren; Leslie (Jenelle), Gregory (Tammy), Caralee (Cedric), Melanie (Shane), Scott (Angeline), Tyler (Stacie), Angie, Steven, Ryan, Penny, Liam, Katie (Perry), Lilly (Aaron), and Noah, his 16 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law; Linda, sons-in-law; Wayne and Rick, his siblings; Vincent (Dora), Wayne (Lisa), Daniel (Vera), Alice (Aries), Bernard (Geraldine), and Dennis (Elaine), his sisters-in-law; Eileen Hynes, Carol Hynes, and Clara Hynes. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended families and friends. Leo was predeceased by his wife; Eliza nee House, son; Tony, daughters; Jean Smith and Joyce Hynes, parents; Sarah Jane and Thomas Hynes , mother and father-in-law; Ethel and Albert House, his brothers; Frank, Hubert, Norman, Edward, Greg, Cyril, and sister; Mary Hynes.
The family will be receiving family and friends at St. Mary’s The Virgin Anglican Church in Cow Head, NL, on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, and continuing on Monday, January 28th, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Tuesday, January 29th, 2019, at 2:00 pm, with Canon Terry Rose officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Cow Head, NL.
The family would like to thanks the Dr’s, Nurse’s and staff of the Bonne Bay Health Centre, in Norris Pt, NL, for looking after their Dad so well, Thanks The Hynes family.
