Lawrence « Larry »‘s Obituary
CLOW, Lawrence James “Larry” ~ age 62 of Greenwood and Cottage Cove, NS passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Summerside, PEI, he was a son of the late Vincent and Elizabeth (McAllister) Clow. Larry graduated from Acadia University and was employed for almost 40 years with CIBC retiring as a Financial Adviser. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 98 Kingston and enjoyed playing hockey and horse shoes. One of Larry’s favourite pastimes was sitting in his hot tub looking over the Bay of Fundy. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Phyllis (Fry); his sisters, Monica (Doug) Richard, Halifax; Marsha Carr, Greenwood; Judy (Bob) Kelly, Gander, NL; Cathie (Graham) Wiebe, Kingston; Sue (Warren) Armstrong, Kingston; his brother, Ian (Karen) Clow, Kingston; grandchildren Chace Moore, Alyssa Lambert and Jacob Lambert; sister-in-law, Mille Clow, Kingston; son-in-law, Stephane Lambert, Ottawa; also Phyllis’s family, Judy, Trudy, Christine, Paula, Paulette, John and Lester. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Gerry; Ronald in infancy; son Marty; daughter Gayleen and brother-in-law David Carr. In keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Sunday, January 27, 2019 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the North Kingston Cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only.
