Carol Ann Lawrence (nee Cluchey), passed away surrounded by her loving family at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Thursday, January 24th, 2019. Beloved wife of Jack Lawrence for 52 years and the late Jim Reaburn. Loving mother of Cheryl Reaburn, Jason Lawrence and his wife Carolyn, and Tanya and her husband Mark Heipel. Cherished « Minna » of Colton, Dane and Dustin Heipel, and Jake, Chad, Zack and Eve Lawrence. Sister-in-law of Don Lawrence and his wife Jeanette, and Brian Lawrence and his friend Nancy. Predeceased by her parents Buff and Edna Cluchey. Carol was proud to have served her community for 42 years with Municipal politics, serving as a Councillor, Reeve and Deputy Mayor for the town of Durham, the Municipality of West Grey and the County of Grey. She was a School Board Trustee and also served for 6 years on the Board of Directors for Georgian College, 3 of those as Vice Chair.
Visitation:
Friends may call at the Durham Community Centre, 451 Saddler Street West, Durham on Sunday, January 27th from 2 – 5 and 7 – 9 p.m.
Celebration of Life::
A funeral service celebrating Carol’s life will be held at the Durham Community Centre on Monday at 1 p.m., with visitation being held prior to the service from 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. Spring interment at Durham Cemetery.
