Kenneth T. Shaw
Kenneth Thomas Shaw – 85, Truro. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ken Shaw on January 24, 2019 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Ken was born in Truro to the late Richard and Alfreda (MacDonald) Shaw. Ken’s passion was auto body repair which translated into Shaw’s Auto Body which he enjoyed for over 50 years. Even after closing the business he continued working or cars and selling them off the front lawn which he did up until about 8 weeks before his death.
He is survived by his children, Debbie (Steve) Robinson, Sharon (Richard) Tattrie and Randy (Heather) Shaw all of Truro; five grandchildren, Mark, Christopher, Caitlyn, Brady and Rylie; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Trevor; sisters, Millie Cox and Pat Gutz; brother, Donald. Ken was predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret; brothers, Roy and Robert; brother-in-law, Terry Cox. He will be greatly missed by his cat, Ying. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors on the 3rd floor and especially the nurses and doctors in Palliative Care for the great care our Dad received and the comfort that was brought to us.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Visitation and Reception will be held Sunday, February 3 from 2-4pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
