John Neufeld
March 16, 1925 – January 21, 2019
Peacefully at Trillium Long Term Care Centre on Monday, January 21, 2019 in his 94th year with his daughters and son-in-law at his side. Much loved father of Sharon, Barbara (Dave), and Janice (Andy). predeceased by his beloved wife, Connie (2018), brothers, Neil and Henry, sister Susan, and son-in-law Gary. Treasured Poppa of Michelle (Aaron), Catherine (Bill), Trevor (Stephanie), Stacey (Greg), Megan, Molly (Ryan), Nicolas, Ray, Leanne, Melissa, Brooke, and Carolyn (Tanner). Fond step-grandfather of Stephanie (Mike), Mark (Elisa), and Carolyn (Carter). Dear great-grandfather of 14 and great-great grandfather of 1. Foster grandfather to many. John was a proud WWII veteran who served in the Royal Canadian Navy. It was during this time that he met the love of his life, Connie, who also served in the Royal Canadian Navy as a proud WREN . John will be forever remembered for his love of family, music, and his strong faith in his church and God. The family would like to extend their thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Trillium Long Term Care Center. Words cannot begin to describe how much we appreciate their kindness and devotion during Dad’s stay with them. Cremation has taken place at Cataraqui Cemetery. At John’s request there will be no service at this time. An interment for both John and Connie will take place in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Edith Rankin Memorial United Church or Trillium Long Term Care Centre.
