MAGLICIC, Ivan Peter – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ivan Maglicic, with his family by his side, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday January 16, 2019 at the age of 60. Beloved husband of Jenny (nee Marchese) for 37 wonderful years. Dearly loved and cherished father of Melanie (Angelo) Luciano and Brandon Maglicic. Devoted « Umpa » of Michael Luciano, who was the light of his life. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Angie (the late Frank) Covatta and Mary (the late Pino) Biamonte, his sister-in-law Lucy (John) Jefferson and his brothers-in-law Frank Marchese and Peter Marchese. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Ivan was predeceased by his parents Rudolf and Katherine Maglicic and his in-laws Domenic and Lucietta Marchese. He leaves behind many close friends and acquaintances, including his colleagues at Canada Revenue Agency where he retired after 32 years of service. One of Ivan’s greatest passions was his love of fishing and he especially looked forward to his annual fishing trip with his buddies. The family would like to thank the very compassionate staff in I.C.U. at G.N.G.H. for their wonderful care of Ivan over the past three weeks. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Church.
