Obituary of Clara MacMillan
Clara Isabel MacMillan, 85, of Westville, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her family by her side.
Born in Popes Harbour, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Pearl (Palmer) Conrad.
She was a member of the Westville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary for 42 years. She was also a member of the Church of the Holy Name and a former member of the C.W.L. A stay at home Mom, Clara’s greatest enjoyments were being with family and friends. Clara had resided at Glen Haven Manor for 5 years.
She will be dearly missed by daughter, Kay, Westville; sons Joe (Carol), Lower Sackville and Jim (Joanne), Millbrook; grandchildren Kellie Crosby, Justin Croft, Celeste Goodfellow, Morgan Polley, Meghan MacMillan, and Michaela MacMillan; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Bochek (Bob), Hamilton, Ont.; brother, Archie (Lil), Westville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph « Joe », daughter Isabel Croft, and brother Ruban Conrad.
Clara is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday from the Church of the Holy Name, Westville. Spring interment will be in the Holy Name Cemetery.
