OBITUARY
Claire Roy
November 26, 1932 – January 20, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Claire Roy on January 20, 2019. Predeceased by her dedicated husband of 50 years, Gilles Roy. An outstanding loving mother who will always be remembered for her care and devotion by her children JoAnne (Jim), Sylvie and Marc. She was an extremely proud grandmother to Sébastien (Lauren), Émile (Taylor), Quentin, Erika (Greg), Haylie, Mackenzie and Nicholas. Predeceased by her brothers, Raymond and Roger as well as her sisters, Françoise and Constance (her soulmate). She is survived by brothers Normand, Hervé, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Having worked for more than 45 years with the War Amputations of Canada, she leaves behind many cherished colleagues. We wish to thank the staff and Grace at Landmark Court for excellent care. She will be sadly missed by all those she touched with her infectious smile and boundless energy.
The Memorial Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church, 194 Fourth Avenue at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 with condolences being received by the family as of 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The War Amputations of Canada, CHAMP Program or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be greatly appreciated.
