MR. CALVIN WILLIS RALSTON
of Deer Lake, Lount Township
Peacefully with his family by his side at Nipissing Manor in Corbeil on Sunday January 13, 2019 in his 87th year.
Cal Ralston, beloved husband of 59 years of Shirley Ralston (nee Reiche).
Dear father of Sherry and Rodney Ralston.
Cherished brother of Jack (Artenia), Wanda Black (Everett), Harvey (Lynn), Maxine Cupido (Dave); brother-in-law of Eva Ralston, Lynn Heittola, Charles Reiche, Brian Reiche (Diana), Jackie Robertson (Barry Jennings) and Alana Reiche.
Predeceased by parents Ranold and Ruby, brother Preston, sister Beth (late Alf) and brothers-in-law Ted Heittola and Bill Robertson.
Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Cal was a life member of the South River Lions Club and the South River-Machar Agricultural Society. He won the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for volunteerism and was incredibly passionate about his volunteer work. He loved helping people and would give the shirt off his back or the last nickel in his pocket to help someone. Cal will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Arrangements for the late Cal Ralston are being handled privately with the family and have been entrusted to the Opatovsky Funeral Home – Moore Chapel, 9 Paget Street in Sundridge.
If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of North Bay or the Avery Seca Youth in Sports Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
Thank you to the incredible nurses, doctors, PSW’s and staff at Nipissing Manor, especially Lilianne and Barb who were there throughout this insidious disease.
