“Alberta”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sara Alberta Ley, aged 79, at the North Sydney General Hospital on January 18th, 2019. Alberta was a daughter of the late Albert and Grace Bate of Big Lorraine, N.S.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her love reached all that knew her and she will be deeply missed by her 7 children; Maxine, Crystal, Cindy, Melinda, Charles (Glenda) and Kathryn, Rannie (kidnapped) and all fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren as well as her brother, Bill (Mary).
Alberta was predeceased by her first husband, Max Kennedy, her second husband Charles Ley, her sister Kay, as well as son-in-laws Purcell and William and beloved son Albert.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the NSG Hospital, as well as the Palliative care staff for their compassionate care.
