Cherished and loving mother of Ann (Dale) Crawford, Danny (Adele) and Fanny Stanidis. Dear and loving Baba to her « little birds »: David (Melissa), Lisa (Dave), Sofia, Marina (Valerie), Adrianna and Tomia (Patrick). She is survived by her siblings George (Fima), Stavros (Pida, deceased), Antigoni (George), Angelo (Metra), and Theodora (Tom). She was an incredibly strong, kind, loving and hard-working woman who faced many hardships and was always guided by her strong faith. She was very talented at embroidery and weaving of blankets and rugs which were used her entire life. She also loved to knit, crochet and sew. Baba was an amazing storyteller of her family, farm life in northern Greece and surviving WWII and the difficult years after the war. She loved her family and her whole life was devoted to them.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Karen Chan and all the staff of Extendicare for their care and compassion, especially Kim who was with her at the end. Also want to thank Dr. Derrick Hunt and Dr. Allstair Ingram for their compassionate care over the years. And, good friends who supported them after arriving in Canada in 1964, Ted and Susan Marshall and Joe and Mary Attard.
