WRIGHT, Barbara Jean (nee Menchions)

It is with great sadness that we announce that Barbara Jean Wright (nee Menchions) passed away peacefully at KGH the morning of November 27th, 2017.
Barbara was born in Halifax, but spent most of her life in Vancouver before recently moving to Kelowna to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She has often been described as a “firecracker.” She had cutting wit and was never afraid to speak her mind. She also had a warm heart, and a strong sense of adventure. She loved to weave, travel and make meals for her friends and family. She would literally have done anything for her children. She was sadly missed this Christmas, and will be for many years to come.
Daughter Shannon, son Gavin, grandchildren Madeline, Dylan and Ayla, brother Don, and nephews Shane and Aaron survive her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 pm on March 17, 2018 in the Lakewood Room at the Trout Lake Community Centre: 3360 Victoria Drive, Vancouver, BC. For details please contact Shannon at trentandshannon@shaw.ca.
