Riebenstahl, Wolfgang, Fredrick (Fred) – 03/30/1939-02/22/2018
Passed away peacefully at Kelowna Hospice following his battle with cancer. Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Waltraud (Nancy), daughters, Andy (Dave) Hingston, Marcy (Jamie) Dimsdale, Ellen (David) Bryde, grand children, Nevada, Jaymes, Ryan, Kyle, Jennifer, Jaclyn, Bonnie Lee, Ciara,Cole, great grandchildren, Kale, Cooper, Saoirse, and sister Inge (Rudy) Hoft.
Upon arriving from Germany, Fred was a machinist… Read More » with Pendozi Machine for 32 years, with a vast knowledge of mechanics and engine rebuilding. He enjoyed woodwork in his spare time when the grandchildren were young building toy trains for the boys, and doll cradles for the girls. Fred also enjoyed much of his time camping during the summers, with his wife Nancy at the Little Dipper campground on the Kettle River.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Okanagan Hospice for their compassionate care of Fred. They are truly very special people. A celebration of life will be held at a later date, with details to be provided then.
