Winston John David Gallant
1940-2018
The death occurred at Prince County Hospital, Summerside on
Tuesday, October 30, 2018 of Winston John David Gallant of Duvar aged
78, husband of the late Mary (nee MacNaught). Winston was born in
Duvar on May 19, 1940, son of the late Dorice and Clara (Arsenault)
Gallant.
Cherished father to Chris (Audra), Halifax, NS; Terry, Duvar;
Kerry (Christine), Duvar; Lisa (Nasri) Jouzy, Surrey, BC and Roberta
(Dan) Hughes, Ottawa, ON. Loving Grampy to Jonathan, Janelle, Rebbeca,
Dana, Joshua and Jessicia. Great Grampy to Janelle’s
daughter Dayla.
Dear sister to Audrey Pineau, Bloomfield
and Carmel (Basil) Reilly, Mill River. Brother in Law to Hazel
Gallant, Alberton; Carole Gallant, AB; Leta MacNaught,
O’Leary; Eunice (Basil) Bottenfield, BC; Bonnie (Harold)
Middleton, Oshawa, ON; Dorothy (Neil) Duplessis, Fredericton,
NB.
Winston was predeceased by his parents, wife Mary (2001),
brothers Desmond and Terrance.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral Mass at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church,
Woodstock, Monday at 3:00 pm. Interment to follow in the Parish
Cemetery.
In memory of Winston, memorials to St. Anthony’s
Restoration Fund or Cancer Society PEI would be
appreciated.
Members of St Anthony’s Royal Canadian Legion, branch # 27,
Bloomfield will hold a service of remembrance for their late member at
the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30pm.
