Mr. William (Garry) Broughton
After a short illness, on April 22, 2018, Garry passed away at Grand River Hospital. Born in Yorkshire, England on December 2, 1941, Garry emigrated with his family to Ontario and lived most of his life in Kitchener-Waterloo. Garry won the Middle-weight Boxing Championship of Canada in 1970 and was active in the boxing community for many years. Beloved brother of Melvyn Broughton (Patricia) of Chatham and niece Sheila McIntosh (David) of Waterloo. Great uncle to DJ McIntosh and Michael McIntosh and great grand-uncle to Danielle and Dakota McIntosh. Garry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers please donate to The House of Friendship. Arrangements entrusted to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home.
