OBITUARY
William Edward Clements
July 23, 1933 – March 21, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Bill’s passing on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 in his 85th year while in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Nancy (nee Byrne). He is together again with his daughter Mary Christina, who passed in infancy. Loving father to Don (Debbie) and Bill Jr. (Sharon). Proud Poppy to Tina (Phil), Kyla (Erik) and Katie (George), Great-Poppy to Dayna, Jake, Ryan, Shaelynn, Sadie, Trent, Bryson and Tanner. Step-Poppy to Natalie, Adam, Sarah and Carly and Step-Great-Poppy to Parker, Tristan, Mason and Emmy. Dear brother to John (Marion), Gord (Jackie), Ted (Linda), Sally, May (Cyril), Joyce (Jerry), Lillian (Roy), Dorothy (Bob), Eva (Fred), Barbara (Stuart) and Anita (Kevin). He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Mary “Polly”, siblings: Robert, Rhoda, Edith, Emma, Margaret and brother-in-law Gerald. Bill will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends, including his sister-in-laws Mariah, Betty and Minnie.
Born in Bell Island, Newfoundland, Bill moved to Cambridge with his wife and sons in the fall of 1969. He proudly served as an executive member of the Galt Newfoundland Club for many years. Bill loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and they will cherish the memories they have with their beloved Poppy Bill.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge (519-621-1650) from 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place the following day, on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to The Canadian Cancer Society. A very special thank you to the staff of Cambridge Memorial Hospital, CCAC and Dr. Holling. Your care and support has meant so much to Bill, as well as our family.
