It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Desmond Janes announces his peaceful passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Hospital, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL aged 87 years.
William leaves to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife, Olive; daughters, Linda (David) Lee, Theresa (Ed) Healey, Daphne (Danny) Cameron, Lorraine (David) Bryne, Betty Janes, Sharron Janes (Glenn Dyke), Ann (Paul) Higgins & Kellie (John) Blackmore; grandchildren, Edward (Julie), William (Danielle), Colin (Christy), Shawna, Devin (Jessika), Natasha, David & Geoffrey; great-grandchildren, Hope, Jayden, Henry, & Adeline; sister, Marie Price; brothers, Fred, Kevin & Gary; plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.
William is predeceased by his parents, William & Bertha Janes; brother, Wallace; sisters, Edith, Doris, Lou, & Angela; & son-in-law Phonce Mulrooney.
The public visitation will take place Monday, May 28, 2018 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
The funeral mass will take place Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 2 pm from the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. The interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Union Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund.
