(2007 Co-Chair of United Way of Chatham-Kent, Served 2 terms as President of United Way of Chatham Kent, Served as Board |member for the Sydenham District Hospital, Wallaceburg, Retired International Representative for United Steel Workers, 1st vice President of Chatham-Kent Labour Council – Co-Founder of Labour Gardens, Chatham.) William Erven “Bill” Steep of Wallaceburg and formerly of Brantford passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday, October 26, 2018 at the age of 77. Bill is the son of the late William and Gertrude (Schwichtenberg) Steep. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth “Liz” (Gellner). Loving father of Lisa DeBusschere (Anthony). Dear brother of Bev.Mason (Mike), Cathy Playfair (Jim), Cindy Vertlieb (Jerry), Tom Steep (Gloria), Mike Steep, Jim Steep (Diane) and brother-in-law of Suzanne Chalmers and the late Kathy Salter (Clayton). He will be missed by his many cousins, nieces and nephews. The celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg at a later date.
