Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Thursday July 12, 2018 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Bernice Martin of Elliot Lake. Loving father of Ted Martin (Denice), Lorna Skanes (Alan) and Marlene Scott (Barry), all of Elliot Lake and step father of Brenda & Janis. Dear grandfather of Fred (Dietra), Jeff (Karen), Michael (Elizabeth), Mark (Melissa), Angela (Nigel) & Matthew (Jaclyn). Also survived by 20 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends at the Elliot Lake Funeral Chapel & Cremation Centre (36 Ontario Ave) on Tuesday July 17 from 7-9 pm. A memorial service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at the Holy Trinity United Church (40 Hillside Drive N.) on Wednesday July 18, 2018 at 11 am. The Rev. Cory Vermeer-Cuthbert officiating. Interment to follow in Woodlands Cemetery, Elliot Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Joseph’s Foundation of Elliot Lake would be appreciated by the family.
