Wendy’s Obituary
MacDonald, Wendy Marie 1947- 2018
Wendy Marie (Blynn) MacDonald, Middleton NS, formerly of Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, NS, passed away on Tuesday, Dec 4th 2018 at the Halifax Infirmary as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Wendy was born in December 1947 to Frances and Carl Blynn. Born in Middleton, NS she was raised in Paradise and Weymouth NS. In High School, she met that special person and they soon married. Over the next 12 years, she was a stay at home mom raising her three children. She ventured out working first in a hobby store then other jobs that lead to her own business in deed searching. She was proud of the work she did for the NS government researching and compiling a record of houses built before 1914 which involved researching deed records right back to the first land grants. She was always active in her church, community, and local organizations like the Women’s Institute. She also was very active in her children’s activities from driving the swim team, sewing skating costumes, being a Brownie’s leader, to fundraising for any team they were involved in. She was an avid crafter, who with her daughters, could be found selling their handiwork at craft shows around NS. For the past 12 years she had also been a loving caregiver to a little black poodle named Kirby. She loved her family and enjoyed watching her grandsons grow up to young men. She enjoyed the antics of her great grandson August and was looking forward to a new addition to the family. She had just moved to a new apartment and was settling into the next phase of her life after the death of her husband of 53 years in June of this year. She was a friendly, generous, and caring person who was always willing to give a helping hand in any way she could and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Wendy is survived by her son, Bruce (Dee); daughters, Kimberly (Bruce) Mailman and Deana (Scott) Fitzgerald; grandsons, Nicholas, Gregory, Adam and Alex Mailman, Daniel and Brayden Fitzgerald; special granddaughter Tara (Stewart) and grandson, David; very special great grandson August; mother, Frances (Gillis) Blynn; sister, Cheryl Blynn; sisters-in-law, Josephine Blynn, Judy MacDonald, and Jeanette MacLaren; nephews, nieces and cousins.
