Wayne Dean, of Hanover, formerly of Clifford, passed away peacefully at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, September 10, 2018. He was 76.
Born in Guelph, son of the late Raymond and Kathleen (Smith) Dean. Wayne was a Teacher for 30 years with the Wellington Board of Education at Harriston Senior Public School as well as enjoyed serving as Ambassador with the Lutheran Laymen’s League within his church. His hobbies included but were not limited to music, hunting and fishing as well as spending time with his family. Wayne enjoyed spending time volunteering and loved to bring a smile to people’s faces at the seniors homes and hospitals. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School, youth groups and singing in the choir at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Clifford.
Survived by loving wife Karen (nee Dahms) Dean of Hanover. Dear father of Lori (Paul) Ziegler of R#4 Harriston, Leanne (Jeff) Hill of R#3 Clifford, Lynne (Dan) Burgoin of Listowel and Larry Dean of R#5 Mildmay. Proud Papa of Joel, Jessa, Morgan, Brady, Danielle and Dean. Fondly remembered by his brothers Larry (Leonora) Dean of Cumberland Beach, Greg (Valerie) Dean of Brantford and brothers in law Bruce (Grace) Dahms and Don (June) Dahms both of R#4 Hanover. Wayne will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families. He was predeceased by his sister in law Sharon Askett and mother and father in law Wellington and Winnifred Dahms.
