Life Story for
Wayne Brown
Our husband, dad, grand-dad, uncle, brother and friend passed away very peacefully with family and friends at his side on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital in Dunnville at the age of 67. After being sick and losing so much of who he was physically and mentally, he is at peace now and with our Heavenly Father. Loving husband to Kay, dear father to Lisa Fletcher (Chris) and Neil (Karen). Grand-dad to Maddie, Hannah, Lydia, Kassie, Jansen, and Felicity. Brother to Ellen Robins (Glen), the late David (Jere), and Shirley Schmidt (Herb).
He loved music from his early childhood, even until his last days. He took just a few formal singing lessons as a youngster, but continued to learn and grow with many years of experience singing in choirs, duets with Kay, men’s gospel quartets and solos. Wayne always considered family attendance and his own involvement in church services, activities and committees to be extremely important because they allowed him to express his gifts and learn more about God’s plan for his life. Wayne loved to farm, spending many years of his life tending to animals, crops and gardens. He worked as a manager for many years where he was known to be a trustworthy listener, excellent problem-solver and detail-oriented leader for his people. Wayne was loving, caring, strong and smart. We are sad that he is gone from us but so excited for him to be with Jesus.
Visitation will take place at James L. Pedlar Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 24 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. A funeral service will also be held at Pedlar Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25 at 10:30.
If desired, memorial donations to either the Shriners Hospital for Children in Montreal or An Instrument for Every Child would be appreciated. Donations to An Instrument for Every Child may be made at the Funeral Home.
