It is with great sadness that the family of the late Walter Park announce his passing at Corner Brook, Long Term care on Thursday, August 2nd at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Marie of 54 years; daughters: Elaine (Bill), Dana, Lynette, Cindy (Fred), Colleen (Gordon), and Shawna (Matthew), son: Shannon (Patricia); grandchildren: Dustin, Rachel, Natasha, Melissa Julianne, Jamie and Danica; great grandchildren: Kyle, Zoey, Brooklyn, Mia, and Elijah; brothers: Bernard (Kathleen), and Bertram (Jean); sisters: Maisie (Al), and Marjorie; brothers in-law: George (Elaine and Edmund (Cavelle); sisters in-law: Linda, Susan (Tommy), Ellen, Jeanette (Harold) and Joan; special uncle Curtis (Nettie) Gaulton, special life long friend Stedman Baldwin, and special friends who was there all through his sickness Doilie and Benjamin Burridge, mother in law and arguing partner Gladys Gaulton. He was predeceased by his parents John and Amelia Park, brother Gordon, and father in-law Clayton Gaulton. Walter had a great love for playing his Accordion and Guitar. His talent will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all local communities that he entertained. Visitation will take place at the Church of the Epiphany in McIver’s on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where Funeral Service will take place on Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mario Melendez officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican cemetery in McIver’s. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of NL 835 Topsail Road, Unit 107 Mount Pearl, NL A1N 3J6.
