Walter Joseph Lawson (Joe) age 75 years of Dartmouth died September 20, 2018 at home. Born in Halifax he was a son of the late William & Mary (Mantle) Lawson. Joe was a fun outgoing person that loved to take long drives with his family/wife. Joe worked for Metro Transit for 24 years before retiring. Joe also was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also he worked at Sagittarius Security.He was loved by his wife Christine Purdy and brother Donald Lawson and all of his Children: Jo-Anne Lawson,Walter Lawson jr (Joey),Amanda Purdy, James Purdy, Ryan Purdy, Nicholas Purdy and stepchildren:Debbie Proude,Michael Proude. Grandchildren: MacKayla,Frederick Purdy. Step grandchildren:Sarah Proude,Jami Proude. Visitation will be 7:00-9:00 today (Thursday) September 27, 2018 in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen Street. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday September 28, 2018 at Saint Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 2263 Brunswick Street, Halifax. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
