We would like to announce the passing of Vukajlo Miljevic on April 26th, 2018. He died peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a short illness which left all his loved ones in deep sorrow and sadness.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the chance to know him as a person. We as a family recognize how many opportunities he gave us by coming to this country, bringing us all together, and leaving a legacy that will forever be remembered.
He was born in Montenegro on July 14th, 1929, In the village of Podrace, and moved to Canada in 1969 in the city of Calgary, where he lived with his wife and three sons. He worked as a cabinet maker until his retirement and then eventually moved to Vancouver Island where he joined his eldest son and family.
He was very supportive, loving and close to everyone in his family and will forever be in our hearts and thoughts.
Vukajlo leaves behind his wife Mara Miljevic, sons; Slobodan, Zoran and Goran Miljevic their wives; Milena, Tanja and Maja and grandchildren; Maria, Marko, Danilo and Mateja, as well as many other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
