Obituary of Vittoria Saurini
SAURINI (DeCarolis), Vittoria – Surrounded by her loving family, Vittoria passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health, on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the age of 94. Beloved wife for 62 years of the late Domenico (2009). Dear mother of Rita & her husband Rocco Petitta, Sarnia and Ivana & her husband Bruno Gismondi, Sarnia. Loving Nonna of Patricia & her husband Tony Di Federico, Sarnia, Anna & her husband Michael Bacchetta, Shelby Township, Mi., Domenico Gismondi & his wife Kate, Sarnia and Roberto Gismondi & his wife Rebecca, Sarnia. Great-grandmother of Marco and Daniel Di Federico, Avaea, Alexio, Adriano and Aviana Bacchetta, Aurora Gismondi and Sofia, Teo and Elio Gismondi. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews in Sarnia, Toronto, Michigan and Italy. Predeceased by parents Giovanni & Felicia DeCarolis, 6 brothers and sisters-in-law and 3 sisters and brothers-in-law. Vittoria came to Sarnia from Italy in 1961 with her 2 daughters to join her husband. She was a member of St. Peter’s Pensioners Club and co-member of the Holy Rosary Society. Vittoria lived for her family and loved them to no end. Visitation will be held at the McKenzie & Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 N. Christina St., Sarnia, on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum.
