Violet passed away peacefully at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in her 97th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husbands; Leslie Powis (1985), and John Copeland (2010). Loving mother of David and Karen Powis, and Gale (nee Powis) and Tom Slack. Google Maps by Yvonne (nee Copeland) and (the late Harvey) Teneycke, and grandchildren Julie Teneycke-Tippett and great-grandson Aaron, and grandson Glenn Teneycke and Shania. Predeceased by her sister Rose McMillan and brother-in-law Tom. Violet will be fondly remembered by her nieces, Janice (John), Cyndi (Oreste) and nephews Greg (Laura) and Randy and their families.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Billings Court Manor; Drs. Chris Ragonetti and Jocelyn Anderson for the exceptional care as well as the Management, Laura, Michelle and Ada. We would also like to thank the outstanding hardworking Nurses, Personal Service Workers, Physiotherapist Camilla, Recreation Personnel, Nancy Carson, Cleaning, Laundry and Kitchen Staff that were so free with their hugs and the heartfelt kind words that were said.
Visitation will be held at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 10 a.m., until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery. If desired, as expressions of sympathy, donations to Autism Canada would be appreciated by the family.
