Langille, Vincent Alexander – Age 83 of Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche and formerly of River John, passed away September 29, 2018 in the Lodge. Born in River John, he was the son of the late Leslie and Catherine (MacDonald) Langille. In his early years, Vincent worked on the long liner fishing boats on the Grand Banks. Later, he returned to River John to be involved in forestry and for a while, he worked in Ontario with the power company and picking tobacco and then operating the family farm in River John. Surviving are, his sons, Terry (Lisa) Redmond, and their children, Ashley and Skye; Brian Redmond, and his son, James, all of River John; sister, Beth (Jim) Turnbull, Harley, Ontario; sister-in-law, Ardith Langille, also of Harley, Ontario; special cousins, Sterling and Janice MacDonald, Grace Redmond and Anne Gunning; nieces and nephews; “chosen family”, staff at Willow Lodge. Vincent was predeceased by brothers, Aubrey and Angus; sisters, Anne Watson and Viola Mae in infancy; long-time companion, Mabel Redmond. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations to Willow Lodge would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Coulter’s Funeral Home (902-657-3288), Tatamagouche.
