Vickie Packham
Packham: Vickie Nellie Packham, age 90, of Swift Current, Sk. passed away November 10, 2018 at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre. A Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2018 at St Stephan Anglican Church with Reverend Chris Dowdeswell and Intern Sarah Urano officiating. The organist was Marilyn Ginther. The Eulogy was presented by Tyler Packham and Sharon Chesley. The Ushers were Dan and Kevin Gates. The Interment Service took place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Veteran’s Plot. Vickie is survived by her sons; Bill (Linda) Packham and Murray (Karin) Packham; grandchildren; Tyler (Stephanie) Packham, Colin (Melissa) Packham and Melissa (Mike) Sacco; great grandchildren Mya, Gavin, Bennett, Emma and Quinn; sisters Rose (Emil) Jurayinski and Helen Adamko and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Mary Horodyski; her husband Vern Packham; sister Lena Wornuick and brother Ed Horodyski. Vickie was born in Honey Moon, Sk. on March 29, 1928. She married Vern Packham on July 9, 1949. Vickie work at Yolanda’s Dress Shop in Swift Current for many years. Vickie was a very proud member of Beta Sigma Phi for 45 years with perfect attendance. She loved camping, travelling, and attending Beta and Oil Wives conventions and visiting with family. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1738 Quebec Ave., Unit 26, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 1V9, Warren’s Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
