Vernon Patrick Deveau
November 16, 1947 – November 25, 2018
Vernon Patrick Deveau- Age 71 of Beaver River, Digby Co., passed away November 25, 2018 in Tideview Terrace.
Born in Salmon River on November 16, 1947 he was a son of the late Fedoria (Comeau) and Nelson Deveau. Vernon worked for Comeau Seafood for 47 years scalloping. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he loved hunting, fishing and watching hockey his favorite team was Toronto Maple Leafs. He was known to many as “BoBo” and always had treats/candy with him.
Vernon is survived by daughter, Maria (Brian) Bowers; son, Kevin (Ann) Deveau; sister, Susan Deveau; brothers, James (Christine) Deveau, Carl Deveau, Eddie (Sharron) Deveau; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bowers, Deanna Deveau, Brook Deveau, Sky Deveau, Devin Deveau also many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Goudey) Deveau; grandson, Dominique; brother, Elmer; sisters, Caral Deveau, Ernia LeBlanc, Lucy Garcia; brother in law, Carl Goudey and nephew Karl Goudey.
Donations in memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. As per Vernon’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (245-2525). Service information pending at this time. Leave condolences at www.jaynesfuneralhome.com.
