Passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Son of the late Lillian ‘Lily’ (nee Sero) and Goldie Maxwell ‘Max’ Hill. Loving husband of Roberta ‘Bobbie’ (nee Sawyer) for 58 years. Cherished dad of Micheal ‘Mike’ (Kathy) and Michelle ‘Shelley’. Treasured grandpa of Micheal Jr. (Jenny), Samantha (Dylan), Jordan (Kayla), Christopher (Christina), Nicholas (Cathy) and Dylan and great grandpa of Ryan, Emma, Jack, River, Liam, Elliot, Charlotte and Thomas. Survived by his sister Eunice ‘Sue’ Hill (Grant Venton). Predeceased by his siblings Larry, Robin, Ruby, Maxine and Bessie. Vernon will always be remembered by his many nieces and nephews and his dear friends Bill and Lynn Johnston. Family and Friends will be received at McGlade Funeral Home on Monday, February 5, 2018 between the hours of 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow Service. For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Tyendinaga Home Support Program in memory of Vernon.
