Obituary of Verna Hinton
HINTON, Verna (nee McCaffery). The family of Verna Hinton announce the death of their mother, grandmother, and great grandmother on July 7, 2018, at the Welland County General Hospital at the age of 97. She is survived by sons Brian (Janice) and Mark (Janet), grandchildren Dave, Laura Edwards (Alex), Matthew, and Sarah, and great-grandchildren Spencer and Gwen Edwards. Predeceased by her husband William (Bill), her parents Frank and May McCaffery and siblings Irene Dunham (Reginald), Clarence (Evelyn), and Carmen (Phyllis). A special thanks to the wonderful staff of Portal Village who took such great care of her. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside ceremony will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. Memorial donations to the Central United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
