OBITUARY
Verna Beatrice Fraser
April 15, 1922 – September 17, 2018
It is with sincere sadness the family of Verna Fraser announces her passing on Monday September 17, 2018 while in her 97th year. Lovingly known as Gug to her family, Verna was predeceased by her husband Douglas and survived by daughters Margaret Brierley, Linda Long, Marsha Winters (Bill), Donna Girard (Kenny) and son David Fraser (Carol) plus 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Born in 1922 in Dauphin, Manitoba, Verna also lived in Saskatchewan and Ontario before settling in Kelowna in 1992. She will be fondly remembered by her many friends at Hawthorn Park where she has lived since 1993. A private family inurnment will take place in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery . If one wishes, donations in Verna’s name may be made to the Kelowna Hospital Foundation or the SPCA. In the words of one of her great grandchildren “Don’t be sorry that she died, be happy that she lived”.
