Vera Shirley Knowles, 78, of Miramichi, NB., passed away on Sunday December 31, 2017 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Chatham, NB., the daughter of Pearl (Vye) Clark and the late Albert Clark. Vera is survived by her daughters Darlene Younker (Irwin) of Winslow P.E.I. , Cathy Dunlop (Kevin) of Dartmouth, N.S., Rhonda Sampson (Ray)of Miramichi, sons: John (Ann) Knowles, and Greg (Debbie) Knowles both of Miramichi, Nine Grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sister: Edna McLean of Ontario. Several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband John Thomas Knowles, brothers: Wilson and Lester, one sister: Violet. Vera Shirley Knowles is resting at Maher’s Funeral Home Miramichi on Thursday January 4th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Friday January 5th, 2018 at 2pm from St. Andrew’s United Church Wellington Street Miramichi with Rev. Charlene Maguire McKnight officiating. As an expression of sympathy a donation maybe made to the IWK Health Foundation (iwkfoundation.org) or the Miramichi SPCA (spcamiramichi.com) would be appreciated.
