Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Monday July 16, 2018. Vera Langridge of Brockville, in her 91st year. Widow of Harold Serson. Dear mother of John (Helen) Chapman of Kingston, Ruby (Kevin) Byers of Athens, Kenneth Smith (Terri Ann) of Brockville, Edward (the late Caroline) Smith of Cornwall and Marilyn (Greg) Oliver of Brighton. Predeceased by daughter, Carolyn Ubdegrove and son, David Smith. Dear sister of Irene (the late Albert) Dawson of Lyndhurst and Fred the late Dorothy)Langridge of Picton. Predeceased by sisters, Vida (Joe) Chapman and Edith Langridge and by brother, Kenneth (Lorna) Langridge. Fondly remembered by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Thursday from 1-3 and 6-8. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment Olivet Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
