Obituary of Velma Barnes
BARNES, Velma Abbie (nee Hetherington) 1923-2018
Peacefully at Shawville Hospital on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in her 94th year. Loving mother of Lorraine Emmerson (Brent), dearly loved grandmother of Allan Emmerson ( Mélanie Cloutier), Leslie Emmerson (Sébastien Mauviel) ; cherished great-grandmother of Katherine and Émilie Emmerson. Pre-deceased by sisters Ruby, Mabel and Rena Hetherington, Fern Ellis and brother Isaac Hetherington. Loved aunt of David Ellis (Cathy); Keith Ellis (Christine); great aunt to Samantha and Matthew Ellis and Mandy and Tanya Ellis. Sister-in-law of Rolande Barnes (Billy deceased) and children Elaine, Fred and Jimmy. Sadly, missed by Trish and friends at the Tubman Seniors Home.
As per Velma’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on, Thursday August 23rd 2018 at 11:00 a.m, at the Aylmer United Church, 168 rue Principale, Aylmer, QC. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Centre Eardley Cemetery, c/o Brent Emmerson, 1941 Rte. 148, Luskville, QC JOX 2G0 Or Tubman Seniors Home, 583 Main St., P.O.
