Forever In Our Hearts
Velma passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 23, 2018 with her family by her side at the age of 92 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Thuen; and parents Syver and Annie Moen.
Left to cherish her memory are her son Barry (Myrna); grandsons Kelly and Kris Johns; great-grandson Emerson Cronk Johns; brothers Selmer Moen and Melvin Moen and Melvin’s three sons Butch, Lance and Randy and their families and the family of Melvin’s daughter Linda Lovo. Also left are the families of her half-brothers Russell, Oliver and Lawrence Syverson and of her half-sister Alice Pratt; niece Delores Wright’s family; niece Lauren Syverson; great nieces Vicki, Allison and Priscilla; and numerous cherished extended family.
Velma lived a good life, living the past 27 years at Selo Gardens.
The family wishes to extend a thank you to her Selo “family” for the many years of love and friendship. Thank you to Convalescent Care and Palliative Care at the Pasqua Hospital for your care and compassion.
At Velma’s request there will be no funeral service, she will be laid to rest at Swift Current Memory Gardens Cemetery.
