Obituary for
Velma Ottman
Went to be with her Lord on October 19th, 2018 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Leo (2004). Loving and loved mother, grandmother “GG” and gramma-great of Douglas and Janet Ottman and their family; Christian and Stephanie (Nolan), Erica and Art Jansen (Everett), Erin and Stan Blasiak (Alessandra and Amelia), Sandra and Calvin Rose and their family; Ryan (Xander and Max), James and Amy (Charlotte and Hudson), the late Sharon Ottman (1956-1960), Brian and Debbie Ottman and their family; Shayne and Alli, Stacey and Zale, Janine and Gordon Crandall and their family; Drew and Laura (Benjamin and Brooklyn), Neil and Jessica, Brady and Mara. Velma was predeceased by her siblings Victor (Donna), Morris and Gladys (Otto Filsinger). She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Dorothy, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. A special thank you to all the staff in the Palliative Care Unit at the Brantford General Hospital for their kindness and exceptional care. The family will receive friends at the TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Sunday, October 21st, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 22nd, 2018 at the Church of the Nazarene, 347 Fairview Drive, Brantford at 11:00 a.m. Interment Mount Zion Cemetery, Copetown. Donations in memory of Velma can be made to Church of the Nazarene or to the charity of your choice.
