Vello Hansson
April 11, 1927 – November 1, 2018
HANSSON, Vello – (April 1, 1927 – November 1, 2018) – Vello passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, Canada, on November 1, 2018 in his 92nd year. Beloved father to his daughter Wendy Hansson (Kim Hubbs) and proud Papa to Hayley and Jessica Hubbs of North Vancouver; and his son Dale Hansson (Karin) of Pennsylvania. Predeceased by his loving wife Mildred of 42 years, Vello will be dearly missed by family and friends in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Vancouver, BC, Montreal, PQ and across Canada; and his large extended family throughout Estonia. Vello will be remembered by the many friends he made while working and traveling during his celebrated career at Weyerhaeuser Company and throughout the veneer manufacturing industry. Family and friends are invited to a service to be held at the Kearny Funeral Home in Vancouver, BC on November 7, 2018 at 10:30 am PST, with livestream access provided at www.livememorialservices.com. Friends may visit at the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10:30 until the time of graveside service at 11 am. Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at the Delta Waterfront Hotel (Presidential Suite). Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com. A monument will be placed in his birthplace Tõrva, Estonia, next to his parents.
