Obituary of Twila Littler
Littler, Twila Dorothy – life-long resident of Belleville, passed away at Hastings Manor, on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018, in her 86th year. Daughter of the late Horace Armstrong Littler and Edith Elouise (nee Bartlett) Littler. Twila was born in Belleville and worked at the Deacon Shirt Factory for almost forty years as a seamstress. She was predeceased by one sister, Mary Adeline Thompson, and is survived by a cousin, Margaret Macartney and a niece, Betty Lou Wells, both of Ottawa. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, (613-968-2273) 30 Moira Street West, Belleville. Visitation will be at Steele Funeral Home on Thursday evening, March 1st, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday March 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Community Church, 679 Dundas Street West, Belleville where the Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Belleville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Calvary Community Church, Hastings Manor, or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. The family would also like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to the administration, nursing staff, and other staff who all provided excellent care for Twila for the past several years. Twila was an inspiration to all who knew her. Despite all the challenges she faced, she still had a wonderful outlook on life and a smile that would warm your heart.
