It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Mom and Oma at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice on Monday, December 31, 2018. Loving wife of Karl (2011) for 54 years. Most lovable mother to Mike (Wendy) and Monica (Ed), and absolutely adored Oma to Paul, Nicole, Nolan, Jordan and Brandon. Special Oma to Amanda (Cam) and Shawn (Mike) and literally a Great Oma to Liam and Mae. Mom had a heart filled with kindness and compassion, and a love that knew no boundaries. She was a wonderful friend and Tante, and will be greatly missed by all, including her lifelong German family friends, the Gabby Gals, the Tim Hortons girls, her neighbours and Southgate Church. Nothing meant more to Mom than the family and home that she and Dad made together. Her grandchildren were her ultimate pride and joy, and she took her role as Oma above and beyond. Thank you, mom, for being the greatest gift in our children’s lives. Our family would like to express sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported Mom over the last 2+ years. Special thank you to Anne Barber, Theresa Hastings, Dr. Kazemi and the Juravinski Cancer Centre, and the angels at Dr. Bob Kemp, who did for our Mom what we could no longer do.
A Celebration of Life Memorial for Trudy will be held on Friday, Jan.4, 2019 from 1-4pm at Bay Gardens Funeral Home ‘William J. Markey Chapel’, 947 Rymal Rd. East, Hamilton (905.574.0405). Please consider a donation to Dr.Bob Kemp Hospice in lieu of flowers.
