Trudy Lynn Maxwell
MAXWELL, Trudy Lynn age 70, of Lower Sackville passed away at the Victoria General Hospital, QEII on Friday February 23, 2018.
Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of Victor and Kathleen (Dearman) Benedict.
Trudy attended Beaverbank Elementary School, Sidney Stephen High School in Bedford and Maritime Secretarial Academy. After working at various secretarial placements Trudy worked at Sears then retired from the City of Halifax – Sackville office, where she worked for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, decorating and baking as well as dancing, music and shopping. She also enjoyed weekend driving; exploring the backroads of Nova Scotia. She loved animals and was known for her gift of hospitality to those who came to visit.
Trudy is survived by sons: Shawn (Jo Ann), Sackville and Jamie (Jamie), Dartmouth; brothers: Wade (Virginia), Ottawa; Bradley (Andree), Sackville and Steven (Barbara), Sackville; grandchildren: Kristen, Samantha, Kevin, Jennifer and Briana; great-grandchildren: Hudson, Henry, Lyla and Lilly as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents; son Derrick as well as partner John MacNeil.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday February 28th at 2:00 pm at Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth Chapel, 771 Main Street Dartmouth, son-in-law Jamie Utronkie officiating. Reception to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.
